Aside from the benefits that the wave park will bring to the region in the context of job creation and positive economic impact, we have again been working extensively with North Warwickshire Borough Council to ensure that the wave park will bring significant social benefits to local communities.

Most obviously this is in supporting greater levels of physical activity and wellbeing, but more specifically Emerge Surf will contribute to the following regional priorities:

• Swimming Pool Provision
• Day-time access to leisure facilities
• Access for older residents without their own cars via the shuttle bus service.

Emerge Surf will also offer a limited number of scholarships to local children who would otherwise not be able to access the lagoon – free tuition, free use of equipment and free access to the lagoon.
